We know how hard it is to lose a beloved family member. For most of us, losing a pet is every bit as traumatic as losing a child. Eventually, with time, the devastation will turn to enjoying the time you did have them with you. Our goal is to help you preserve those happier times and help keep those memories alive.
Finding closure after going through a loss is devastating. When humans pass, there are gatherings of friends and family, lots of hugging and sympathy. A funeral or memorial service is usually held to help the family get through their loss.
When it is the loss of a pet, it is a lonely grieving. There may be the occasional friend or family member that is there to help console you, but for the most part, we have to get through it on our own.
One way to find closure is by creating a memorial. The therapeutic effects cannot be underestimated. Our customized items will help you to create just the right memorial that truly reflects the love that was shared with you and your fur-baby.
Rainbow Crossings was created in 2005 after the loss of our precious bulldog, Brutus. At that time, there were very limited products or information available. It was a devastating loss and affected the entire family. I knew at that time, that people need to be able to reach out and be able to let others know that their fur-kid had been a part of the family.
The company has gone through many changes since it first started. Initially, it consisted of detailed and embellished scrapbook pages, all dedicated to the loss of a pet. Through the years, the engraved plates were brought in, and then we started creating new and unique personalized items. Just as your pet was so very unique and special, their memorial should be able to reflect that.
This handsome boy, Brutus, was the one who motivated me to start Rainbow Crossings.
This sweetheart was Sadie, or “Tate”. She was deaf, but very vocal.
This was our blue-eyed beauty, Dutchess. She blessed our home for 19 years.
Our sweet Sabbath. He didn’t know he was a dog. He just thought he was one of the kids.
My beautiful girl and best friend, Shylo. She was my heart. Our love will live forever.
